Custom homes and remodeling in Round Rock

Round Rock has a lot of houses from the 1970s and 80s, and they age the way houses of that era do: dropped ceilings, fluorescent kitchens, laundry out in the garage. We have remodeled our way through exactly that.

What we look at first

What we look at first in a Round Rock house

The ceiling, and what is above it. A dropped ceiling at seven feet usually hides height you can have back, and the lighting set into it goes with it. On the Stillhouse kitchen, raising the ceiling changed the room more than any finish did.

Where the laundry is. Plenty of houses here still send you into the garage to wash clothes. We look for the space to bring it inside without giving up the parking, and we level the floor under it so there is no threshold for the next thirty years.

The popcorn ceilings in the living areas. Scraping them is a messy job and we say so up front. The rooms look better for it afterwards.

Straight answers

Questions from Round Rock homeowners

Can you bring a laundry room in from the garage?

Yes. On the Stillhouse kitchen remodel we found the space in the garage, took down a closet, and brought the laundry into conditioned space without giving up the parking. A small amount of foundation work leveled the floor so there is no threshold to trip over.

Is my address in your area?

Call us. We are based in Georgetown and build across Williamson and Travis County. If we are not the right builder for your project or your location, we will tell you who is.

Do you build outside these cities?

Sometimes, when the project is a fit and the drive still lets us be on site the way we want to be. Ask, and you will get a straight answer.
