Preconstruction planning · Williamson and Travis County

We find the problem before it finds your budget.

Before a design is drawn or a number is written, we look at the things that break budgets: drainage, soil, foundation, structure, permits, and the order the work has to happen in. Then you get a budget range and a plan you can decide on.

Questions homeowners ask about preconstruction planning

What does preconstruction planning cost?

It depends on the project. Greg visits first, and after that visit you get a range for the planning work up front, before you commit to anything.

Do we need preconstruction planning for a remodel, or only for a new build?

Both. In older homes it is where we find the rot, the dated wiring, the failed section of slab, before the finishes are chosen. Finding it in the first week instead of the fifth month is the whole point.

Who does the engineering?

We work with the structural and foundation engineers and the residential architects we have trusted for years, and we credit them by firm on the projects they worked on.

What do we have at the end of it?

One written plan: scope, sequence, schedule and a line-item estimate you can read with us line by line. From there you decide whether and when to build.
